Dancing Class with The well-rounded Miss Suhaili Micheline Ahmad Kamil
We were waiting excitedly for our dancing class which started at 10.45am. After a few moments of joking around and taking photographs as our memories, the whole Dance Studio 3 was attacked by sudden silence when a young, beautiful lady stepped into the studio. Yeah, of course, most of us wondered who was she? We did not show it obviously but there were questions in our minds about this woman. Some of us whispering to each other to check whether anyone knew this lady.
Who was the lady mentioned?
She greeted us with her charming smile and finally broke the ice between us by introducing herself to us. The gorgeous lady is Miss Suhaili Micheline Ahmad Kamil. She is a talented contemporary dancer. She won awards and also an internationally acclaimed dancer. How great she is! We knew that we were lucky enough to have a short dancing class with a famous dancer. As the holder of Bachelor Degree in Dance (Hons) from the Victorian College the Arts in Melbourne, she has trained in classical ballet, modern theatre, contemporary and jazz dance. She was awarded the 'Most Outstanding dancer of VCA Graduate 2005'. Hey, noted that she was the Top 4 Finalist for So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) Season 1. For SYTYCD Season 2, she returned as a choreographer. Well, we had her picture below.

Warming-up Session...
Dance just like the sports we play. Why? Because it also needed us to warm up. It helped to prevent us to get any muscle injury during the dancing class. We started the warm up session normally until we needed to exercise our rib (or was it ribcage exercise?). Huh? How to do it?! Hmm... Just do it. It was not easy at all as we never did it before. We were learning, so, sure that Miss Suhaili did not get angry with us.
5,6,7,8!!! Let us start the dance...
Finally, we came to our dancing class. Miss Suhaili said she will teaches us how to dance in a box. It was not in a real box of course. But, the movement reflected that we drew a square box and danced in it. We followed our dance lecturer of the day, Miss Suhaili to do the steps. If we were using our right legs, it looked good but when it came to left legs, we realises that it was weird. In dancing, we needed to balance both our right and left side. Aha! That was what we tried to do that day. We danced steadily at first but then everything was in mess as Miss Suhaili added new steps in between. It became worse when we sped up and follow the song chosen, Teenage Dream. It made us sigh, 'Oh my God!'. Some of us even collided to each other when we did the horizontal dance movement. We were so excited and sometimes laughed during the class.
A Small Accident?!
Yes, there was an accident during the class. When Tan Hon Kian danced, his hand accidentally hit Muhammad Raihan bin Sapi'ee's lips. Raihan's lips bled and he rested for a while. He was accompanied by Madam Joanna Bessey and Mr. Na'a Murad. Luckily, it was not so serious.
Time's up for dancing class
Our one-hour dancing class with Miss Suhaili ended at 11.45am. We shook hands with her and thanked her for spending her precious time with us the beginners. Here are some pictures taken during the class.
